They modified a 75 year old fireplace and installed a wood burning stove. Job included masonry work, installation of a custom liner and installation of a new stove. Had them do an inspection of both fireplaces on newly purchased house.  Found out why former owners didn't use them, unsafe.  The inspections went flawlessly.  They pulled the units out and checked everything, cap included.  Then they cleaned up. We decided the most cost effective and visually appealing option was a large window Buckstove with sidelight windows.  They applied inspection cost to purchase and ordered items. We have had issues with contractor follow through and probably bothered them too much about when.  They were very patient with us.  Sean called and said he had everything and could install next day.  And they did.  3 guys hauled off concrete cap and 500lb 'slammer'.  Installed liner, stove and stainless cap and cleaned up everything over next 5 hours.  Perfection. Friendly, hardworking, and helpful. Tim and Zack arrived much earlier than I would’ve thought. Normally when you receive a 4 hour window someone comes near the end or even past the promised time but these guys arrived within the first hour, which was fantastic. I never owned a wood burning fireplace before and they happily answered all of my questions and showed me what I needed to know. I will definitely be using them again for follow up service.
Update to my earlier review: 9/1/2021: I've included a photo of the high efficiency fireplace I had installed by Southern Chimney Sweep. As you can see they really did a beautiful job on the fireplace. I have one complaint which is dropping them from a 5 star review to a 3 star review. Apparently my questions and concerns were quickly addressed when I was spending almost $20,000 to have this fireplace installed but once the job was completed their response to my concerns is very poor. In November, a few months after my fireplace was installed I needed to insert a battery in the Napoleon Catalyst Temperature Monitor since I had no need for it in the summer. I discovered that the piece holding the battery in place was cracked and wouldn't hold the battery in place in order for this monitor to work properly. I contacted  Shawn who asked for a picture (which I sent to him. This was on November 8th of 2019. I never heard anything further from Shawn. I hate to post negative reviews, but people need to be aware that while the workmanship may be very good, the customer service is very poor. I even tried again when some of his staff came back to clean the fireplace. I showed them again the problem and they agreed to inform Shawn about it. It is now coming up on 2 years and I still have not had this situation resolved. After spending that much money to have something installed, I would think a replacement for a part that was defective out of the box is not asking too much. I won't say to avoid this business, just don't expect much in the way of ongoing customer service.
